Section 10: FIRE HYDRANT DEPARTLENT. There shall be the follow ng named employee in the Fire Hydrant Department, to-wit : One (1) Hydrant man (part time) . It shall be the duty of such officer to perform the duties indicated by the name of his employment , and such other duties as the Chief of the Fire Department or Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. Section 11: LICENSE DEPARTMENT. There shall be the following named officer in the License Department , to-wit: One (1) License Inspector. It shall be the duty of such officer to perform the duties indicated by the name of his employment, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Safety may authorize and direct. Section 12: POLICE COURT DEPARTMENT. There shall be in the Police Court Department the following named officers and assistants: One (1) Clerk of the Court , who shall perform the dut ie pertaining to his office. Section 13: CIVIL ShhVICE DEPARTMENT. There shall be in the Civil Service Department the following named officer: One (1) Secretary, (part time) , who shall perform the duties pertaining to his office. DEPARTLENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. Section 14: CITY ENGINEER. There shall be the following named deputies, assistants and employees in the office of the City Engineer, to-wit: One (1) City Engineer, (part time) ; One (1) principal assistant Engineer; One (1) assistant City Engineer. ; One (1) transitman; Draftsmen (one or more) ; One (1) stenographer; One (1 ) Abstract Clerk; Head Cheinmen (100 days) ; Rear Chairmen (100 days) and Inspectors (100 days) . Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties indicated by the name of their respective employment , and such other duties as the City Engineer shall, from time to time , authorize and direct. The City Engineer shall have the right to employ the following named additional temporary employees, with the con- sent of the Commissioner of Public 'k)rks, and whenever there is work in his office for such employees: Transitmen; levelmen; draftsmen and computers; rodmen ; chainmen; axemen and inspectors. Such last named assistants and employees are to be employed only when the work in such office requires such employment , and are not permanent employees in such office. Section 15: INSPECTION DEPARTFENT. There shall be the following named officers and em- ployees in the Inspection Department : One (1) Building Inspector and One (1) Electrical Inspector. It shall be the duty of such officers to perform the duties relating to such office as defined by the Ordinances of such City, and such other duties as the Commissioner of Public Works shall direct.
