Section 16: STREET DEPART:ENT. There shall be the following named officers and assistants in the Street Department , to-wit: One (1) Street Superintendent; One (1) Purchasing Agent, (part time) ; One (1) Clerk; One (1) Transitman; One (1) Painter; Three (3) Foremen; One (1) T:echanic; One (1) Crushernan; Two (2 ) Gradermen; Seven ( 7) Truck Drivers; One (1) Donkey man; One (1) Dump man; Three ( 3) Truck Driver Helpers; One (1) Yard man; Two (2) drainage inspectors; One (1) night '.ratchman; EleVen (11) Skilled Laborers, Common Laborers (268.9 days) . Said officers, assistants and employees shall perform the duties pertaining to such office as indicated by the name of their respective employments, and such other duties as the Superintendent of Streets or Commissioner of Public Works shall, from time to tire , authorize and determine. Section 17: sRY DEPARTE NT. There shall be in the office of the Park Department the following named officers, to-wit : One (1) Park Superintendent ; One ( 1) Assistant Park Superintendent; One (1) Gardener; Pine (9) Laborers and One (1) Secretary. The P-ark Department shall be under the general charge and supervision of the Park Superintendent . The other employees shall perform such duties as pertain to the nature of their office and as authorized and directed by the Park Superintendent . Section 18: WATER DEPART: E <T. There shall be the following named officers, assistants and employees in the Hater Department of the City of Iverett, to-wit: One (1) Superintendent (part time ) ; une (1) Assistant Superintendent ; One (1) Chief Clerk; One (1) Inventory Clerk; One (1) Accountant ; One (1) Distribution Operator; One (1) Three Lakes Station Operator; One ( 1) Panther Creek Station Operator; One (1) Headworks Operator; Two (2) Draughtsmen; One (1) purchasing Agent (part time) ; Six (6) Foremen; One (1) ;Helder; One (1) Blacksmith; One (1) Inspector; One (1) Plant Chemist (part time) One (1) Carpenter; One (1) Tractor Operator; One (1) Shovel Operator; One (1) Bulldozer operator; One (1) .1\lchinist; Three (3) Truck Drivers; One (1) Auto Repairmen; One (1) Auto Repairmen Helper ; One (1) Serviceman; One (1) Serviceman Helper; One (1) Assistant Inspector; One (1) Meter Repairman; One (1) Blacksmith Helper; One (1) Pipefitter Helper; One (1) Hydrant Flusher; One (1) Relief Operator; One (1) Pipefitter One (1) 3anitor; One (1) Basin Patrol, and Common Laborers (1129 .8 days) . Section 19: It is the purpose of this Ordinance to fix the number and designation of the permanent assistants, deputies and employees in the various offices of the City of Everett , and nothing herein contained shall be construed so as to prevent the various officers and various heads of the departments of the City of Everett from employing, with the consent of the City Council, such employees as, from time to time, may be necessary in the proper discharge of the duties
