<br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit
<br /> unless otherwise stated. Where "as indicated" is used it shall be understood that
<br /> reference to drawings and specifications is made unless otherwise stated. Where
<br /> "as directed", "as required", "as authorized", "as reviewed", "as accepted" or words
<br /> of similar import are used, it shall be understood that direction, requirement,
<br /> permission, authorization, review, or acceptance of Owner is intended, unless
<br /> otherwise stated.
<br /> B. Where "furnish", "provide" or words of similar import are used, it shall be
<br /> understood that except as otherwise defined in greater detail, the term is used to
<br /> mean design, supply and deliver, complete to the Project site, ready for unloading,
<br /> unpacking, assembly, installation, and similar operations.
<br /> C. Where terms such as"includes" and "including" are used, they are not intended to
<br /> indicate an all-inclusive listing of items or elements; they should be read as
<br /> "includes, but is not limited to," and "including, but not limited to,".
<br /> D. Indicated:
<br /> 1. The term "Indicated" refers to graphic representations, notes, or schedules
<br /> on the drawings, other paragraphs or schedules in the Specifications, and
<br /> similar Contract Documents.
<br /> 2. Where terms such as"shown", "noted"and "scheduled"are used, it is for the
<br /> purpose of helping the reader locate the cross reference, and no limitation of
<br /> location is intended, except as specifically noted.
<br /> E. The term "install" describes operations at the Project site including the actual
<br /> unloading, unpacking, assembly, erection, placing, anchoring, applying, working to
<br /> dimension,finishing, curing, protecting, cleaning, and similar operations.
<br /> F. Installer: The person or entity engaged by the Contractor or his sub-contractor(at
<br /> any tier)for the performance of a particular unit of work at the project site, including
<br /> installation, erection, application and similar required operations. It is a general
<br /> requirement that installers be experienced in the work they are engaged to perform.
<br /> 1. The term "experienced", when used with the term Installer, means having
<br /> a minimum of five previous projects similar in size and scope to this Project,
<br /> being familiar with the special requirements indicated, and having complied
<br /> with requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.
<br /> 1.5 CODE&SPECIFICATION REFERENCES:
<br /> A. References to codes, external specifications, and standards in the Contract
<br /> Documents shall mean the latest edition, amendment or revision of such
<br /> reference in effect at the date of the Contract. Where compliance with two or
<br /> more industry standards or sets of requirements is specified and overlapping of
<br /> those different standards or requirements establishes two different or conflicting
<br /> minimums or levels of quality, the most stringent requirement is intended and
<br /> shall be enforced, unless specifically detailed language written into the Contract
<br /> Documents that clearly indicates that the less stringent requirement is to be
