Section Includes: Procedural execution requirements and limitations for incidental <br /> cutting and patching of in-place work. <br /> B. Related Sections: following Sections contain requirements that relate to this Section: <br /> 1. Section 01 31 13 - Project Coordination for procedures for coordinating cutting <br /> and patching with other construction activities. <br /> 2. Section 01 35 44 - Hazardous Materials Procedures <br /> 3. Division 21 -27 - Fire Suppression, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and <br /> Telecommunications for other requirements and limitations <br /> applicable to cutting and patching <br /> 1.2 DEFINITIONS <br /> A. Cutting: Cutting into in-place work for installation or extension of other work. <br /> B. Patching: Subsequent fitting and repair, as necessary to restore construction and <br /> finished surfaces to specified condition. <br /> C. Cutting and Patching: Does not include following: <br /> 1. Off-site work during manufacturing and fabrication of products. <br /> 2. Initial work involving installation and erection processes. <br /> 3. Drilling of holes to install fasteners. <br /> 1.3 ADMINISTRATIVE REQUIREMENTS <br /> A. Coordination: <br /> 1. Conform to Section 01 31 00 for coordination with work of other Sections. <br /> 2. Coordinate procedures and potential conflicts between work of different sections <br /> and conditions requiring cutting and patching. <br /> B. Preinstallation Meetings: <br /> 1. Arrange meetings at Project Site with parties involved in cutting and patching, <br /> including mechanical and electrical trades. <br /> 2.
