City of Everett 01 72 29-2 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> A. Work Procedures: Submit written description, for review and acceptance by Owner's <br /> environmental consultant, and revised accordingly. Include demonstration of following: <br /> 1. Techniques for minimizing dust generation at sources; confining dust and other <br /> contamination; cleaning procedures following demolition; conformance to <br /> applicable housekeeping regulations; and surface preparation. <br /> 2. Methods to protect workers and adjacent area occupants from lead dust, testing <br /> procedures, <br /> 3. Conformance to State of Washington requirements contained in WAC 296-155 - <br /> Lead Exposure in Construction. <br /> B. Notification of Cutting and Patching not Indicated by Contract Documents: Notify <br /> Architect at weekly Project Meetings or submit in writing prior to Project Meetings. Obtain <br /> architect's acceptance prior to beginning cutting and patching procedures that may affect <br /> following: <br /> 1. Integrity of structural elements. <br /> 2. Integrity of weather exposed or moisture-resistant elements. <br /> 3. Efficiency, maintenance, or safety of operational elements. <br /> 4. Visual qualities of sight-exposed elements. <br /> 5. Work under separate contract with Owner during Work of this Contract. <br /> 6. Disturbance or relocation of utilities. <br /> C. Submittal Format: Include with Proposal: <br /> 1. Identification of Project. <br /> 2. Location and description of affected Work. <br /> 3. Necessity for cutting or alteration. <br /> 4. Description of proposed Work and products to be used. <br /> 5. Firms or entities that will perform the work. <br /> 6. Alternatives to cutting and patching. <br /> 7. Effect on work of Owner or separate contractor. <br /> 8. Written permission of affected separate contractor. <br /> 9. Date and time work will be executed. <br /> 10. Structural calculations where cutting and patching affects structural reinforcement. <br /> 1.5 PLANNING/ENGINEEERING <br /> A. Cutting and Patching Plan: Describe procedures well in advance of time cutting and <br /> patching will be performed. Include following information, as applicable: <br /> 1. Extent of cutting and patching required. Describe how it will be performed and why <br /> it is needed. <br /> 2. Effect on existing construction to remain, including structural integrity, visual <br /> appearance, functional characteristics, operating capacity, and affected adjoining <br /> construction elements and systems. Include anticipated results. <br /> 3. List of products to be used and qualifications of those performing this work. <br /> 4. Dates when cutting and patching will be performed. <br /> 5.
