City of Everett 32 12 16 -2 <br /> Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Everett Transit <br /> 2.2 MIXES <br /> A. Mix design for HMA shall comply with WSDOT Standard Specification Section 5-04.2. <br /> B. The nominal maximum aggregate size class is as indicated on the Contract Drawings. <br /> C. Asphalt binder: PG 64H-22. The Contractor may propose the substitution of alternate <br /> grades of performance grade (PG) asphalt binder, for Owner review and considerations, <br /> at no cost to Ben Franklin Transit. Asphalt binder shall comply with WSDOT Standard <br /> Specifications Section 5-04.2. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 PREPARATION <br /> A. Prepare subgrade for surfacing as stated elsewhere in the Contract Documents. <br /> B. Construct aggregate base course surfacing as stated elsewhere in the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 3.2 TACK COAT <br /> A. Tack coat shall be placed to all paved surfaces on which any course of HMA is to be <br /> placed or abutted in conformance with Section 5-04.3(4) of the WSDOT Standard <br /> Specifications <br /> 3.3 CONSTRUCTION <br /> A. HMA pavement shall be constructed in conformance with Section 5-04 of the WSDOT <br /> Standard Specifications, except as modified herein. Prime coat is not required and tack <br /> coat is required as specified therein. <br /> B. HMA pavement more than three inches thick shall be placed in multiple layers. Each <br /> layer shall not exceed three inches in thickness or be less than two inches. Asphalt <br /> concrete pavement three inches thick or less may be placed in one layer. <br /> C. The Contractor shall pave the entire parking and road areas, including the spaces <br /> identified for curbed islands. Following the completion of paving and placement of <br /> extruded curbs, the Contractor shall remove HMA pavement inside the islands as <br /> indicated on the drawings. <br /> 3.4 MAINTENANCE OF PAVEMENT <br /> A. Maintain finished pavement in finished clean condition until the work is accepted by the <br /> Owner. <br /> END OF SECTION <br /> 32 12 16 -2 ASPHALT PAVING <br />
