Pre-molded Joint Filler: In accordance with WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 9- <br /> 04.1. <br /> F. Bonding Material: Epoxy Bonding Agent shall be in accordance with ASTM C881/C881M <br /> for Type II epoxy resin. <br /> G. Curing Compound: In accordance with WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 9-23.2. <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.1 INSTALLATION <br /> A. General <br /> 1. Construct curbs and gutters in accordance with the layout, configurations, grades, <br /> and dimensions indicated on the Contract Drawings. <br /> 2. Construct all curbs in accordance with WSDOT Standard Specifications Section 8- <br /> 04. <br /> B. Extruded Cement Concrete Curbs <br /> 1. Place, shape and compact extruded cement concrete curb true to line and grade <br /> with an extrusion machine capable of shaping and thoroughly compacting the <br /> concrete to the required cross section. <br /> 2. Dry and clean pavement of loose or deleterious materials prior to curb placement. <br /> Anchor concrete curbs to the existing pavement using epoxy bonding agent. Place <br /> according to the recommendations of the bonding agent manufacturer. <br /> 3. Load the hopper of the curb machine with the homogenous mix. Run each hopper <br /> load of cement concrete through the curb laying machine, adjust it properly to form <br /> and compact the cement concrete mix for the curb. <br /> 4. Space joints in the extruded cement concrete curb at 10-foot intervals or to match <br /> existing transverse joints or cracks in existing pavement. Cut joints vertically. <br /> 5. Curing compound shall be Type 2 liquid curing compound. <br /> 6. Protect newly placed extruded cement concrete curb from traffic by barricades or <br /> other suitable means until it has attained its required strength of 2500 pounds per <br /> square inch.
