April 19, 2023 HWA Project No. 2023-048-21 River Point Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Study Scope • Assess Future Geotechnical Needs: Based on the geotechnical challenges and available subsurface information, HWA will provide recommendations for future geotechnical studies to support the design of proposed development. • Assess Future Geoenvironmental Needs: Based on the review of environmental documents available on the City of Everett’s SharePoint site, HWA will provide a summary of environmental activities that have occurred on the site, potential environmental impacts to the proposed improvements, and recommendations for future geoenvironmental studies (as deemed necessary) to support the design of proposed development. • HWA QA/QC: All design calculations and recommendations will be reviewed by a senior principal prior to distribution to the design team or the City of Everett. • Project Coordination Meetings: HWA will participate in up to two (2) project coordination meetings. HWA assumes that all of these meetings will be virtual. • Prepare Preliminary Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Study Report: HWA will prepare a preliminary geotechnical/geoenvironmental study report for the project. This report will contain the results of the previous explorations and HWA’s preliminary analyses, including descriptions of surface and subsurface conditions; a site plan showing previous exploration locations and other pertinent features; summary logs; and laboratory test results. The report will provide preliminary geotechnical recommendations associated with proposed improvements and future study. Project Management • Invoice Generation and Processing: HWA will prepare monthly invoices, and progress reports for the duration of the design phase of the project. • Geotechnical Task Management: HWA will provide task management to all geotechnical related aspects of the project. HWA will correspond with the city in the form of meetings, emails, fax, and telephone calls, as necessary. Management Reserve • Management Reserve: HWA will hold a total of $15,000 in management reserve for the project. The management reserve funds will only be utilized under direction of the City of Everett.
