GATHERED
HOUSE
PROJECT ADDRESS: 1818 HOLBROOK AVENUE
PROJECT PARCEL#: 00549401100703
PERMIT#: B2106-064
December 10, 2021
CITY OF EVERETT
Rakeeb Khan
Plans Examiner
Building Division
To whom it may concern,
The following are responses to the issues in your review dated November 1, 2021:
General 1. The City of Everett and the Snohomish County records should be reviewed. Be
aware that county records only provide an indication of whether the current construction
matches older records, and do not constitute a permitted condition. The old assessor's field
notes should be obtained from the county; online information is relatively recent and as noted
does not constitute a permitted condition.
• RESPONSE: After reviewing City and County records, it appears that the
southeast corner of the dwelling (including upper deck) and the rear (South) deck
are not on the records and are likely unpermitted. Existing conditions have been
noted as "new construction" on plans.
Architectural 1. It appears that the southeast corner of the deck and storage area below was
built without permits. Plans should show this area as new proposed construction even though it
is currently existing in place (see General Comment for more information) and provide required
framing and necessary details. The original exterior wall looks to be removed and upper-level
walls appear to now be discontinuous and may be supported by framing members.
• RESPONSE: See response to General 1 comment. Wall details provided and
noted in plans found on page A.04.
