July 26, 2023 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION – PURCHASE OF PUMPS AND PARTS <br /> <br />To adopt Resolution No. 7916 waiving public bidding requirements and approving a multiple- <br />year sole source purchase of Flowserve Pumps and Parts to APSCO, LLC. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT AMENDED - TEMPORARY DISPOSAL EASEMENT DEED <br /> <br />To authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 2 to Temporary Disposal Easement Deed with <br />the Port of Everett. <br /> <br />GRANT ACCEPTANCE – PALLET SHELTER UNITS <br /> <br />To accept $245,560 from HUD for the City of Everett to purchase eight 100SF Pallet Units for <br />the creation of Faith Family Village. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />PROPOSED ACTION ITEMS: <br /> <br />COUNCIL BILL 2307-37 <br /> <br />SECOND READING: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE providing for the acquisition by Eminent Domain of the property located <br />at 1301 Lombard Avenue, Everett, Washington, commonly known as the Waits Motel, for <br />the purpose of eliminating neighborhood blight <br /> <br />The following members of the public spoke on this item: Nancy Hecht, Shawn Pressey, Amy <br />Modig, Robert Wohl, Doug Modig Sr., Laith Al-nakib, Bill McKinlock, Doug Modig, and Emily <br />Simpson. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne requested details about a plan for the current occupants of the Waits <br />Motel if this property acquisition goes forward. <br /> <br />Council Member Vogeli requested to know when the Waits Motel was added to the nuisance <br />property list. <br />
