I <br /> City of Everett Inductive Charging Infrastructure for Field Installation 01 25 00 - 3 <br /> I <br /> the Contractor shall provide suitable, secure storage and protect from damage, theft or <br /> Iother loss until installation. <br /> 1.6 PRODUCT SELECTION <br /> IA. GENERAL PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS: Provide products that comply with contract <br /> documents, that are undamaged and, unless otherwise indicated, unused at the time of <br /> I installation. <br /> 1. Provide products complete with all accessories, trim, finish, safety guards and <br /> other devices and details needed for a complete installation and for the intended <br /> use and effect.I <br /> 2. STANDARD PRODUCTS: Where available, provide standard products of types <br /> that have been produced and used successfully in similar situations on other <br /> project. <br /> IB. PRODUCT SELECTION PROCEDURES: Product selection is governed by contract <br /> documents and governing regulations, not by previous project experience. Procedures <br /> I governing product selection include the following: <br /> 1. PROPRIETARY SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Where only a single <br /> product or manufacturer is named, followed by"no equal", "no substitution", "or no <br /> exception", provide the product indicated. Advise Architect when it is discovered <br /> I that the named product is not a feasible solution. <br /> 2. SEMIPROPRIETARY SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Where two or more <br /> products or manufacturers are named, followed by "no equals", "no substitutions", <br /> I or"no exception", provide one of the products named. Advise Architect when none <br /> of the named products comply with specification requirements or are not feasible <br /> for use. <br /> I 3. NON-PROPRIETARY SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Where the <br /> specifications name products or manufacturers that are indicative of the type and <br /> quality of the product to be incorporated in the work, followed by the term "or <br /> equal", or similar language, comply with the contract documents provisions <br /> I concerning "product substitutions" to obtain approval for use of an unnamed <br /> product. <br /> 4. DESCRIPTIVE SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Where the specifications <br /> I describe a product or assembly defining the characteristics required, but with or <br /> without use of a brand or trade name, provide products or assemblies that provide <br /> the characteristics indicated and otherwise comply with contract requirements. <br /> I 5. PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Where specifications <br /> require compliance with performance requirements, provide products that comply <br /> with these requirements, which are recommended by the manufacturer for the <br /> application indicated. Submit manufacturer's recommendations contained in <br /> I published product literature, or by the manufacturer's individual certification of <br /> performance for approval by Architect. General overall performance of a product <br /> is implied where the product is specified for specific application. <br /> I 6. VISUAL MATCHING: Where matching an established sample is required, the <br /> owners decision will be final on whether a proposed product matches satisfactorily. <br /> a. Where there is no product available within the specified product category <br /> I <br /> which matches satisfactorily and also complies with other specified <br /> requirements; comply with the provisions of the contract documents <br /> I01 25 00- 3 SUBSTITUTION PROCEDURES <br /> I <br />
