That Section 7 of Ordinance No. 2483 be amended to read as fol- <br /> Section 7: <br /> lows , to zit: There shall be the following named officers and assistants in the <br /> Fire Department, to-wit : Chief of the Fire Department , Assistant Chief of the <br /> Fire Department , Second Assistant Chief of the Fire Department, Secretary and Auto- <br /> Driver, Superintendent of Fire and Police Signal System, Assistant Superintendent <br /> of Fire and Police Signal System and Auto-Driver, Master mechanic, Assistant Mas- <br /> ter mechanic .and Auto Driver, four (4) Captains, thirteen (13) auto-drivers, two <br /> (2) Fire Alarm Operators, ten (10) First Grade Pipemen. Firemen for the first <br /> year of service shall be classed as Third Grade Pipemen; firemen for the second <br /> year of service shall be classed as Second Grade Pipemen and fireznen. for the third <br /> year of service and thereafter shall be classed as First Grade Pipemen. it shall <br /> be the duty of the officers and assistants in said department to perform the du- <br /> ties indicated by the name of their employment and such other duties as the chief <br /> of the Fire Department or the Commissioner of Public Safety may authorize and di- <br /> rect. The Chief of the Fire Department shall be the administrative head of the <br /> Fire Department. <br /> Section 5. That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 2483 be amended to read as fol- <br /> lows, to-wit: Section 9. There shall be the following named officers and assist- <br /> ants in the street and sewer department, to-wit: Street Superintendent, Assistant <br /> to the Street Superintendent (part time), barn man, tractor man, four truck driv- <br /> ers, five repair men, laborers (or extra helpers) , three push up men, one street <br /> painter or marker and two sewer inspectors . All of the above named assistants <br /> shall perform the duties indicated by the name of their respective employment, <br /> and such other duties as the Superintendent of Streets shall from time to time <br /> authorize and determine . The Superintendent of Streets shall be the administra- <br /> tive head of this department . <br /> Section 6. That Section 10 of Ordinance No. 2483 be amended to read as fol- <br /> building <br /> lows, to-wit: Section 10. There shall be in the/inspection department the fol- <br /> lowing named officers, to-wit: Building inspector, City Electrician and Plumbing <br /> Inspector. It shall be the duty of such officers to perform the duties relating <br /> -2- <br />
