Continuing with the previous comment,the addition of rooftop units may exceed the design <br /> capacity of the existing roof structure. Modifications may also be required to support the units <br /> (e.g.,support framing for curbs)and create duct penetrations. Structural framing plans should <br /> be provided showing the existing and new framing supporting all rooftop units. Details to modify <br /> the roof framing should be provided. Structural calculations substantiating the modifications <br /> should be submitted for review. See IBC Sections 1603.1, 1604.1,and 1604.4. <br /> STRUCTURAL TO BE PROVIDED BY OTHERS. <br /> 3. Structural modifications to the building should be sealed and signed by a licensed engineered <br /> registered in the state of Washington.
