The provisions of this Ordinance shall not apply to fraternal <br /> orders , conducting dances upon the premises occupied by them where admission is <br /> restricted to members of such orders end the families and friends of members of <br /> said orders. <br /> Section 9 . No person under the age of 21 years shall be permitted to pat- <br /> ronize any "Dance Cafe" or restaurant permitting dancing or other entertainment <br /> vithout an escort of his or her parent or guardian. No beer or wine or intoxicating beverages shall be sold to or <br /> -del P a- <br /> permitted to be in the possession of any patron of a "Dance Cafe" or restaurant <br /> permitting dancing or other entertainment contrary to the ordinances of the city <br /> of Everett or of the Washington State Liquor Act, chapter 62 of the Session Laws <br /> of Washington, Ixtraordirary Session of 1933 , and the rules and regulations now in <br /> force or hereafter prescribed by the authority of the Washington State Liquor Conn <br /> trol Foard. <br /> Section 12. Any person, association, copartnership or corporation, before <br /> entering into the business or occupation herein named, shall first make applica- <br /> tion in writing to the City Council , giving applicant's name, address and correct <br /> description of the place where said business is to be carried on and such other <br /> information as the said Council may require . If the application receives council- <br /> manic approval, the Council shall adopt a resolution or motion in. open Council meet- <br /> ing, giving its consent and authorizing the granting of such license . <br /> Section 13 . Ail licenses granted under this ordinance shall expire on. the <br /> 31st day of December of each year; Provided , that all licenses granted for the <br /> year 1n4 shall be prorated for the remaining period of such year. No license <br /> shall be issued by the Clerk of said City , except upon a receipt from the City <br /> Treasurer, showing payment of the annual license fee provided by this ordinance , <br /> after permission granted by the city Council , .All such licenses may be suspended <br /> or revoked by the City Council upon a hearing after three days notice for violation <br /> -3- <br />
