Describe drainage flow paths (direction, location):
The project site is relatively flat with curb around the perimeter of the project site. There
is currently a 361n. concrete stormwater pipe underneath the playground, that will not
be impacted by this project. This storm pipe discharges water into Silver Lake.
Are there Critical Areas? What are they and where are they located relative to your project?:
There are no known critical areas near the project.
Task 2: Describe proposed project
Describe your proposed project:
The City of Everett proposes to replace the playground equipment for 2-5 and 5-12
year olds along with new Foreverl-awn synthetic turf or similar artificial turf products.
How will your project change the existing condition?:
The project will not be changing the existing conditions from a hydrologic or hydraulic
perspective.
Describe roofs, patios, driveways, or structures added:
There are no proposed roofs, patios, or driveways. The only structures proposed are
likely hard play structures over permeable artificial turf. All surfacing is considered
pervious.
How will stormwater be managed?:
The project does not trigger MR 6 or MR 7 and SW BMPs (MR 5) are infeasible. Six
inches of sand will be provided underneath the turf with the intention of providing basic
treatment by mimicking the design criteria for Permeable Pavements. No treatment is
required, no such design criteria exists for turf, thus no treatment is claimed.
Describe how the project will affect existing drainage systems onsite or on adjacent properties
or both:
The project will not affect existing drainage systems onsite or on adjacent properties.
The project will consist of replacing the existing playground mulch surfacing with a
synthetic turf.
City of Everett Public Works
Small Project Stimunimer Sue Plan Report Dec 2019
