Structural: 16. The proposed project may include structural work. Structural drawings should be submitted as needed that include framing plans, sections, details, construction schedules, fastening schedules, materials requirements, general notes, special inspection requirements, etc. The drawings should substantiate compliance with the prescriptive requirements of the IRC. See IRC Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1. 17. The project may involve structural modifications that do not comply with the prescriptive limitations of the IRC. Where a structural design is performed per Section R301.1.3, structural drawings and calculations should be prepared by a professional engineer licensed in the state of Washington; the drawings and calculations should bear the seal and signature of the engineer. See RCW Sections 18.43.010, 18.43.020, and 18.43.070. 18. Details for the construction of the new walls should be included. The details should specify connections for the top and bottom framing plates to the existing structure. See IRC Sections R106.1.1 and R301.1. 19. A fastener schedule should be provided per IRC Table R602.3(1). Providing a reference to this table in the drawings does not satisfy this requirement. In addition, the make and model of proprietary hardware should be specified in the plans and details where used for connections.
