• <br /> POWERS OF ATTORNEY AND ASSIGNMENT. <br /> section if: it shall be unlawful for any licensed beer and <br /> wine dealer to execute powers of attorney, granting any authority to <br /> some other person over any beer and wine license granted by the Council. <br /> PRINTING AND POSTING OF ORDINANCE. <br /> sectionitA It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to furnish <br /> a copy of this Ordinance to the holders of all beer and wine licenses <br /> granted under the provisions of this Ordinance, and it shall be obliga- <br /> tory on all beer and wine dealers to cause same to be placed in a con- <br /> spicuous place in the licensed premises and all licensed beer and wine <br /> dealers shall post in the licensed premises the license issued by the <br /> Council. <br /> PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION. <br /> Section li: It shall be unlawful for any person, whether he be <br /> a licensed beer and wine dealer, owner, manager, or employee in or of <br /> any beer and wine parlor, or other place where beer and/or wine is in <br /> any way sold or disposed of, to violate any of the provisions of this <br /> Ordinance , and an employer or employee or either or both, shall be lia- <br /> ble and shall be punished for any violations of this Ordinance. <br /> Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance , <br /> shall upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than <br /> One Hundred (p100) Dollars or more than Three Rundred ( 300) Dollars <br /> or by imprisionment for not less than 30 days nor more than 90 days in <br /> the city jail, or by both such fine and imprisonment. If the holder of <br /> any beer and/or wine license , or any of his employees, is convicted of <br /> violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance , for the first offence <br /> in addition to the fine or imprisonment, the court shall make an order <br /> closing said place of business for 30 days, and shall certify said clos- <br /> ing order to the Commissioner of safety of Everett , and thereupon the <br /> Commissioner shall direct the police officers to execute that part of <br /> the sentence closing said place of business for 30 days; and it shall <br /> be the c!uty of the Clerk of the Court in all cases of conviction for <br /> the violation of the provisions of this Ordinance, where the judgment <br /> of the Court has been that the place of business be closed for any length <br /> - 9 - <br />
