shall be filed at least five (5) days before the Council shall take any action <br /> thereon. Public notice of such application shall be given by the City Clerk, by <br /> one publication thereof, in the official city newspaper. All applications for <br /> beer and wine containing not more than 3.2 per centum of alcohol by weight or <br /> Federal legalized beer and wine licenses shall be accompanied by cash or a cer- <br /> tified check on some bank in the City of Everett, payable to the City Treasurer <br /> of Everett, in the amount of the license fee for one year. If the license is re- <br /> jected by the Council, the City Clerk shall return said cash or certified check <br /> to the applicant. Application. fcr beer and wine containing not more than 3.2 <br /> per centum of alcohol by weight or Federal. legalized beer and wine licenses or <br /> the transfer thereof shall be made upon blanks furnished by the City Clerk for <br /> that purpose . Applications for the transfer of beer and wine containing not more <br /> then 3 .2 per centum of alcohol by weight or Federal legalized beer and wine licenses <br /> shall be heard only in the manner and after the giving of notice , the same as is <br /> required in the granting of an original license , and the same proceedings in the <br /> case of remonstrances shall be had . <br /> A corporation desiring a wholesale distributor or jobber's beer and wine li- <br /> cense shall file an application in writing and said application shall be sworn to <br /> by its president, and shall give the names of its stockholders and officers, and <br /> shall state that none of its stockholders or officers have been convicted of violat- <br /> ing the liquor laws of any City, State or County, and it shall state by street num- <br /> ber the room where said business is to be conducted . Said application shall be ac- <br /> companied by cash or a check as is required in. the case of other applications for <br /> licenses . After filing said application, the same proceedings shall be had thereon <br /> as in the case of other applications for beer and wine containing not more than 3 .2 <br /> per centum of alcohol by weight or Federal legalized beer and wine licenses. <br /> If the application is approved by the Council, a license shall be issued to the <br /> applicant upon compliance with the provisions of this ordinance . <br /> Waiters in Beer and Wine Parlors <br /> Section 6 . It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the occupation of <br /> a waiter in a. beer and wine parlor or to engage in the business of waiting upon the <br /> customers, or serving any customers of any licensed beer and wine parlor dealer in <br /> the City of Everett , without first having obtained a license therefor, and it shall <br /> be unlawful for any licensed beer and wine parlor dealer in the City of Everett to <br /> -3- <br />
