granting any authority over any beer license granted by the City Council. <br /> Dumb Waiters and Stairways <br /> Section 18. It shall be unlawful for any retail licensed beer parlor to per- <br /> mit any dumb waiter, stairway or passageway therefrom, leading from a beer parlor <br /> to any place or places where intoxicating liquors are sold, or to a room or rooms <br /> overhead or downstairs or to any other place , for the purpose of selling beer and <br /> wine therein. <br /> Bonds <br /> Section 19. No beer parlor license shall be granted until the applicant <br /> therefor shall give good and sufficient bond executed by some responsible surety <br /> company, authorized to do business in the State of Washington, or satisfactory <br /> personal bond , conditioned that the applicant shall save the city harmless from <br /> damage in any way arising from the operation of a beer and wine parlor. Such <br /> bond shall be in the sum of One Thousand ( 1,000.00) Dollars and before any such <br /> license is issued, must be approved by the City Attorney and City Council, and it <br /> is hereby made the duty of the City Attorney to maintain any action for recovery <br /> upon any such bonds . <br /> Stockholders in Corporations Having License <br /> Section 20. If there is a change of officers or stockholders in any cor- <br /> poration holding a license under this ordinance, such corporation shall , within <br /> 10 days after such change, file with the City Clerk a complete list of its stock- <br /> holders and officers . The City Council may cancel the license of any corporation <br /> for failure to file such list within the time required herein. If, at any time <br /> during the existence of a license , any officer or stockholder of such corporation <br /> is within any of the prohibited classes mentioned in Section 4 of this Ordinance , <br /> the City Council may cancel the license of such corporation. <br /> Sap of Location and P.enewals <br /> Section 21. No license shall be granted for the sale of beer and wine , in <br /> any beer parlor, unless the application for such license is accompanied by a neat <br /> drawing showing accurately the premises intended to be covered by such license , <br /> and showing all entrances to said premises , and after license is granted, such <br /> license shall authorize the holder of said license to sell beer and wine only in <br /> the premises shown upon said drawing; provided , no new drawing shall be required <br /> in the renewal of a license when no change in the premises has been made . <br /> -7- <br />
