Wholesaler, Beer Parlor Retailer <br /> Restaurant Retailer, Grocer, Druggist <br /> Section 22. In the meaning of this ordinance , a wholesale distributor or <br /> jobber shall be considered one who wholesales beer and wine in case, keg, barrel <br /> or larger quantities . <br /> A beer parlor retailer shall be one who conducts a beer parlor in which there <br /> shall be no furniture except tables , chairs and open booths, and a small service <br /> bar, at which bar no drinks shall be retailed to the public . No commodity or mer- <br /> chandise shall be kept or sold in any beer parlor, excepting cigars, tobaccos, <br /> cigarettes and light lunches . <br /> A restaurant beer and wine retailer is to be defined as a restaurant which <br /> serves bottled beer and wine with meals. <br /> Grocers and druggists may sell beer to their customers in an amount not ex- <br /> ceeding one case in any one day to the same person, but under no condition shall <br /> beer or wine be consumed on the premises. <br /> Grocers and druggists may not sell beer or wine at any hour except the hours <br /> in which they are regularly open for all business. No grocer, druggist or restaur- <br /> ateur may sell beer or wine during the hours when beer parlors are required to be <br /> closed by the provisions of this ordinance . <br /> Any person desiring to apply for a license for a social or fraternal organi- <br /> zation or club located within the city limits of Everett shall first make appli- <br /> cation to the Commissioner of Safety of said City , describing the premises by <br /> street and number where said social or fraternal organization or club is located, <br /> and shall furnish such other information as such Commissioner may require . If <br /> satisfied that a license should be issued to the applicant, said Commissioner <br /> shall make his recommendation to the City Council in the same manner as any other <br /> application for a license is required to be made but no license shall be issued <br /> in such case except upon payment of a fee of 50 .00 per annum and subject to the <br /> same conditions and restrictions as in this ordinance provided. <br /> A hotel of 35 rooms or more, having a license, shall not sell and deliver to <br /> any one guest in any 24 hour day to exceed six pint bottles of beer or wine con- <br /> taining not more than 3.2 per centum of alcohol by weight or Federal legalized <br /> beer or wine . <br /> -8- <br />
