remain in, or about any beer parlor under his management, supervision or control . <br /> No person under the age of legal majority shall go into, or remain in any <br /> beer and wine parlor. It shall be unlawful for any person to cause, permit, <br /> suffer, or allow any theatrical, minstrel show, exhibition, <br /> card playing, games of ahance or otherAentertainme nt of a like nature to take <br /> place in any beer and wine parlor . <br /> ARRANGEMENT OF R115,R PARLORS <br /> Section 11: No female shall be admitted to any beer and wine parlor, ex- <br /> cept those having a definite partition where women may enter, and no men shall <br /> enter this special partition unless accompanied by a woman. This does not apply <br /> to places handling beer and wine under license where such beer and wine is not <br /> consumed on the premises nor to restaurants where beer and wine are served. Arty <br /> booths in any beer parlor, or restaurant where beer and wine are being served on <br /> the premises, must be open to the rest of the room, with no curtains or any other <br /> partitions shutting off the view from the actual room itself. There may be no <br /> opening between booths affording a view of any adjoining booth. There shall be <br /> no screens, boxes, alcoves, booths or stalls which completely hide persons there- <br /> in from the view of the bther occupants of said beer and wine parlor. <br /> GRANTED ONLY BY COUNCIL <br /> Section 12: The power to grant or refuse any license to sell or in any man- <br /> ner to dispose of beer and wine in the City of Everett shall be and remain fixed <br /> in the Council, and nothing in this ordinance contained shall be construed to <br /> grant any vested right in any person for the issuance, assignment, transfer, re- <br /> newal, re-issue, or continuance of such license, and the right and power shall <br /> be and remain at all times vested in the Council to vote to cancel any license, <br /> whenever in its judgment the public demands such revocation. No license shall <br /> ever be granted , or any renewals thereof, for any transfer of the place of li- <br /> cense where such business is conducted, except by majority vote of the City <br /> Council. No license shall be granted to a grocer, a restaurateur, a druggist or <br /> hotel, unless said applicant shall have been established in said business in Ev- <br /> erett at least one year. <br /> SCREENS AND BOXES <br /> Section 13: It shall be unlawful to have any screen or boot black stand <br /> or other obstruction in front of any beer parlor, and during the time when any <br /> -5- <br />
