. . <br /> . . <br /> . . <br /> , . . <br /> • ' ' <br /> DOG LICENSE <br /> Section, - That there be and is hereby created the office of <br /> / <br /> ' Poundmaster, and it shall be the duty of such officer to perform the <br /> duties preseribed by the Ordinances of said city, and such other duties <br /> as the Commissioner of Safety or Ohief of Police may direct. <br /> Section /a Upon the taking effect of this ordinance the Com- <br /> missioner of Safety shall appoint some competent person to fill said <br /> office. Said officer shall hold his office at the pleasure of said <br /> Commissioner. <br /> Section ' : It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any dog <br /> more than four (4) months old or cat more than nine days old in the city <br /> of Everett without procuring a license as provided in this ordinance. <br /> Section :. The annual license shall be as follows: For each <br /> .... <br /> , . <br /> male orspayed female dog, Two (42.00) Dollars; for each unspayed or <br /> female dog, Three ( 33.00) Dollars; for each cat or kitten over nine days <br /> old, 4.50; provided that all licenses shall expire on the 31st day of <br /> December following the issuance of th,f‘ioense. <br /> Sectionr , Upon payment to the City Treasurer of the regular <br /> license fee and upon presentation of the receipt thereof to the City Clerk <br /> the City Clerk shall issue to the person applying for the same, a license <br /> and shall furnish with such license a metal tag bearing the number of the • <br /> license, the year it was issued, and the word "Everett". Said tag shall <br /> be attached to a collar, which shall be worn by the dog, cat or kitten, as <br /> the case may be at all times. <br /> Az <br /> Section 2 : Every dog, cat, kitten or other feline, kept or found <br /> running at large not wearing a license tag as herein provided, is hereby <br /> declared to be a public nuisance, and it shall be the duty of the Pound- <br /> master to seize and impound all such dogs, cats, kittens or other felineS, <br /> and when impounded they shall be kept in custody not less than forty- <br /> eight hours, and. if the owner or keeper of any dog, cat, kitten or other <br /> feline so impounded shall not redeem said dog, cat, kitten or other feline <br /> b aying the pen .l.t , herein provided, then it shall be the duty of the <br /> ' t the expiration of said time, to offer <br /> - 3.1/ <br />
