<br /> guardian, unless auah persons shall be registered as husband and wife,
<br /> and the husband or wife may register for both and the minor children
<br /> or wards accompanying .them and occupying the same rooms with them
<br /> Se ct i o : Each guest room or apartment in any hotel, rooming
<br /> or lodginghouse shall be numbered in a plain and conspic ,tDus manner
<br /> on the outside of the door of each room and no two doors shall bear
<br /> the same number.
<br /> Sectio/' Whenever any minor child or children under the
<br /> age of eighteen years shall register at any hotel, lodging house or
<br /> rooming house in the City of Everett, such fact, together with the
<br /> names of such child or children shall be forthwith reported by the
<br /> oparator, owner or manager of said hotel to the Police Department
<br /> of the City of Everett.
<br /> Sectio/ : - No person, firm or corporation nor anyone who
<br /> shal
<br /> l conduc operate p'erate or manage any hotel, rooming '#ouse, lodging
<br /> house, apartment house, or tenement house shall suffer or permit the
<br /> same to be used as a house of prostitution, ill-fame, brothel, bawdy -
<br /> house, or shall permit unlawful cohabitation therein, or for die-
<br /> , orderly, dissolute or immoral pupposes, or for the purpose,-of
<br /> prostitution, assignation, fornication, lewdness /or dissolute con-
<br /> duct, nor suffer or permit any drugs, narcotics or intoxicating
<br /> liquors to be brought into the same, kept , consumed, dispensed, or
<br /> disposed of therein, nor receive, keep, maintain or retain as a roomer,
<br /> visitor, lodger or guest , any pimp, prostitute, boot-lugger, gambler
<br /> lewd, disorderly or dissolute person, or harbor any such person, or
<br /> allow him or her to be or remain upon the premises as a roomer, visitor,
<br /> lodger, guest or employee, or anyone in any capacity who practice* or
<br /> takes part in any act of prostitution, or who engage s in or is present
<br /> at any gambling game or game of chance or engages in any immoral,
<br /> dissolute, disorderly or unlawful act or conduct, or who unlawfully
<br /> carries upon his person or with him or has in his room, baggage, or
<br /> possession any, intox}sating liquor or narcotic drug.
<br /> Sectio Lo application shall be approved by the police
<br /> p Department, or license issued by the City Clerk, to conduct, operate,
<br /> t. or manage any hotel., rooming house, lodging house, apartment house,
<br /> V or tenement house, to any person, firm or corporation, nor, to the agent
<br /> of any person, firm or corporation that has been convicted in the Police
<br /> Court of the City of Everett under any of the provisions of this
<br /> ordinance.
<br /> SectioV 4 No license shall be granted to conduct, operate or -
<br /> manage any ho el, rooming house, lodging house, apartment house, or
<br /> tenement house in the Citr of Everett, to any person, firm or corpora-
<br /> tion nor to the agent of any_ pereonc •firm or corporation that has
<br /> been convicted in any of the courts of the State of Washington under
<br /> any of the provisions of the laws of the State of Washington or in any
<br /> Federal Court under any of the provisions of the laws of the United
<br /> States relating .to prostitution, gambling, or the manufacture, pos-
<br /> session, sale,, barter, exchange, giving away, furnishing, or other-
<br /> wise disposing of or keeping intoxicating liquor, nor to the:- use of or
<br /> handling of narcotic drugs.
