This comment has not been completely addressed. Calculations substantiating the design of <br />the braced frame connections should be submitted for review. The calculations provided only <br />address the brace -to -connection plate connection. Calculations substantiating the design of the <br />connection plates to the framing members and foundation plates is required. Note that the <br />drawings do not appear to provide vertical connections between the brace connection plates <br />and the column knife plates supporting the beams. The design should comply with AISC 341- <br />16 Section F2.6a. See IBC Sections 1604.1 and 2205.2. See also AISC 360 regarding <br />procedures and accepted practices for the design of brace connections. <br />This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and <br />amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made <br />during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit <br />requirements.
