Elden McCall
Plan Check Number: B2207-083, B2207-086, B2207-089, B2207-090, B2207-091, and B2207-092, First
Building Review
September 27, 2022
6. Details of the gable end roof condition should be provided. Detail should specify bracing
requirements to resist out -of -plane loading (e.g., wind) on the wall if the wall is not continuous
between the floor and roof sheathing. This is not provided by the manufacturer. Note that
truss stability bracing provided by the manufacturer is not intended for this purpose. See
Sections R106.1.1 and R602.3.
7. Structural special inspections may be required for this project (shear wall nailing closer than 4
inches). A statement on special inspections has not been provided and should be provided on
the plans. The statement should include a table listing each type of special inspection and
should specify the extent of each inspection (e.g., continuous, periodic) per IBC Section
1704.3.1. The table should include special requirements for seismic and wind resisting systems
as required by IBC Sections 1704.3.2 and 1704.3.3, respectively. See IBC Sections 107.1,
1704.2.3, 1704.3, Table 1705.3.
This review has been performed for general compliance with the building codes as adopted and
amended by the state of Washington and the city of Everett. Corrections and comments made
during the review process do not relieve the project from compliance with code and permit
requirements. The designers -of -record are responsible for a complete design in accordance with
the laws of the state of Washington.
If you have any questions or require additional clarification, please contact us.
Respectfully,
Rakeeb Khan
Residential Plans Examiner
(425)257-7263
rkhan@everettwa.gov
S:\RKhan\2022\B2207-092—RI.docx
3200 Cedar Street 425.257.8810 „ everetteps@everettwa.gov
Everett, WA 98201 425.257.8857 fax J everettwa.gov/permits
(Page 3 3l
