Bulkhead Conditions
The project site at Parcel A17 is located approximately 600 feet west to the intersection of Seiner Drive
and 14Street, along the bulkhead parallel to 14' Street as shown in the Site Plan (Figure 2).
Based on our review of the available design drawings, we understand that the existing bulkhead adjacent
to Parcel A17 consists of a steel sheet pile wall with one row of tiebacks connected to a continuous concrete
doorman, which is located approximately 50 feet behind the sheet pile wall. The top of the existing
bulkhead is at about Elevation +16.67 feet. The lip of the existing sheet pile Is at about Elevation 35.00
feet. The existing tieback is located at about Elevation +11.85 feet Per our discussion with the project
team on June 22, 2021, an old continuous concrete deadman is sitting in front of the existing deadman
and functioning as a whole with the existing deadman.
Per the dredge section (@9+50) in me design mewing, we understand that it was proposed to dredge the
soils in front of the bulkhead at a 2.5H:1V slope from Elevation 0.00 feet to Elevation -9.00 feet. Note that
the project vertical datum is Mean Lower Low Water IMLLW).
2.2. Subsurface Conditions
Based on our review of the existing subsurface information available within the site vicinity, the soils at the
project site generally consist of fill, recent deposits, and glacially consolidated soils.
