City of Everett 01 11 00 - 3 <br />Port Gardner Storage Facility – Demolition Package WO# UP-3525 <br />01 11 00 - 3 SUMMARY OF WORK <br />3. City of Everett Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Permits shall be <br />applied for separately by the Contractor performing the work. With <br />exception of electrical permit, the other trade permits may not be applicable <br />to the Work. <br />E. All City permit types can be applied for online through the Online Permitting <br />Portal at: onlinepermits.everettwa.gov. <br />F. Dewatering Discharge Approval Request (Industrial Discharge Approval <br />Request Form): Due to the potential contaminated soils on site, construction <br />dewatering will not be allowed to run off the site. To minimize generation of <br />contaminated stormwater, ground disturbing activities should be completed in <br />dry weather to the extent feasible. To discharge groundwater to the sanitary <br />sewer system, the Contractor is required to apply for Discharge Permit <br />(Industrial Discharge Approval Request Form). This permit is free of charge. <br />1.6 WORK BY OTHERS <br />A. The Contractor is required to coordinate all their activities with the City’s Project <br />Manager, or his/her designee. The City may have other construction projects in <br />progress at PGSF during the duration of this project and it is the Contractor’s <br />responsibility to assure that adequate notice is given to the City’s Project <br />Manager regarding City’s or other Contractor’s equipment or materials that may <br />need to be relocated in order to perform the work. <br />1.7 WORK BY THE OWNER <br />A. The City shall have the right to access the site 24/7 and execute work not <br />included in this Contract and concurrent with the contract period. Contractor <br />shall cooperate with such City sponsored efforts. <br />B. The Contractor shall coordinate with the City in scheduling operations to <br />minimize conflict with concurrent construction projects and maintenance <br />activities. <br />1.8 CODES AND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br />A. All construction shall be in accordance with the International Building Code, <br />Current Adopted Edition. <br />B. All construction shall be in accordance with the Uniform Mechanical Code, and <br />the Uniform Plumbing Code, latest editions. <br />C. All construction shall be in conformance with the WSDOT/APWA Standard <br />Specifications and Standard Plans, latest editions, only to the extent that they <br />are called out in the Contract Documents.
