City of Everett 01 22 13 - 3 <br />Port Gardner Storage Facility - Demolition Package WO# UP-3525 <br />01 22 13 - 3 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />1.7 PARTIAL PAYMENT FOR STORED MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT <br />A. Partial Payment: No partial payments will be made for materials and equipment <br />delivered or stored unless Shop Drawings and preliminary operation and maintenance <br />data is acceptable to the Engineer. <br />B. Final Payment: Will be made only for products incorporated in the Work; remaining <br />products, for which partial payments have been made, shall revert to Contractor unless <br />otherwise agreed, and partial payments made for those items will be deducted from <br />final payment. <br />1.8 BID ITEMS <br />A. Item #1 - MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION (Lump Sum) <br />1. The lump sum price for Mobilization and Demobilization consisting of the <br />preparatory Work and operations in mobilizing for beginning Work on the <br />Contract, including, but not limited to, movement of those personnel, equipment, <br />supplies and incidentals to the project site, preparation of submittals, and for the <br />establishment of temporary offices, phone service, equipment and first aid <br />supplies, field surveys, sanitation needs and extension to City provided sewer, <br />construction water use and extension of City water for those uses, and all other <br />facilities required by these specifications, and State and local laws and <br />regulations. The costs of bonds, costs associated with obtaining and managing <br />permits, any required insurance, and any other preconstruction expense <br />necessary for the start of the Work shall also be included. This Work also consists <br />of the general project management of the Work including, but not limited to, field <br />supervision and office management, as well as other incidental costs for <br />management of the Work during the duration of the Contract. This lump sum price <br />shall not exceed 5% of the total of all bid items. <br />2. When 5% of the original Contract amount is earned from other bid items, 50% of <br />the amount bid for Mobilization and Demobilization, or 5% of the original Contract <br />amount, whichever is lesser, will be paid. <br />3. Upon completion of work for the project, payment of the remaining amount bid for <br />Mobilization and Demobilization will be paid. <br />B. Item #2 – DEMOLITION WORK AND MISCELLANEOUS IMPROVEMENTS <br />1. The lump sum price consisting of all labor, tools, equipment, materials, <br />appurtenances, and incidentals required to complete the selective demolition and <br />miscellaneous improvements, shown on the Contract Drawings and described in <br />the Specifications. This Work includes, but is not limited to: <br />a. Area 10 – Site: selective site demolition of outdoor concrete pads and curbs, <br />jersey barriers, fencing, truck scale, abandoned railroad rails, outfall <br />manhole, vaults, utility stations, outdoor light poles, vegetation, other site <br />demolition work indicated, and associated backfill of respective areas. <br />Relocation and temporary capping of air valve located on the plant outfall <br />pipeline. Settlement and vibration monitoring.
