Area 20 – Neutralization Basins: tank dewatering, selective demolition of <br />structural elements, selective demolition of mechanical and electrical <br />equipment. Access for the Owner/Engineer into the Neutralization Tanks to <br />perform condition assessment. Installation of a temporary safety fall <br />protection as required. Pressure washing. Efforts associated with sampling <br />activities and administration for treatment/disposal of liquid and solid wastes <br />derived from dewatering activities. <br />c. Area 25 – Chemical Storage Building: selective demolition of structural <br />elements, selective demolition of mechanical and electrical equipment. <br />Demolition of electrical equipment located on the second floor of the <br />building. Demolition of equipment pads. Inspection of 36-inch and 18-inch <br />FRP pipes which may require dewatering/cleaning and partial dismantling of <br />the pipes. Demolition of two lime silos from the roof of the building. <br />Demolition of phosphoric acid tank, two lime mixing tanks and associated <br />backfill of respective areas. Removal and disposal of residual <br />materials/chemicals from the tank/silos. Installation of multiple pipe blind <br />flanges, temporary safety fall protection as required, and pressure washing. <br />Temporary lime silo opening roofing structure and materials. Efforts <br />associated with sampling activities and administration for treatment/disposal <br />of liquid and solid wastes derived from dewatering activities. <br />d. Area 30 – Aeration Basins: tank dewatering, selective demolition of <br />structural elements, selective demolition of mechanical and electrical <br />equipment. Demolition of large diameter air piping system, demolition of <br />multiple isolation gates. Demolition of air distribution piping and static <br />aerator system at the bottom of the basins. Installation of multiple pipe blind <br />flanges, temporary safety fall protection as required, and pressure washing. <br />Efforts associated with sampling activities and administration for <br />treatment/disposal of liquid and solid wastes derived from dewatering <br />activities. <br />e. Area 35 – Secondary Clarifier East: tank dewatering, selective demolition of <br />structural elements, selective demolition of mechanical and electrical <br />equipment. Demolition of secondary clarifier mechanism. Decommissioning <br />of scum pit by filling with LCC with concrete topping slab. Installation of a <br />temporary safety fall protection as required, and pressure washing. Efforts <br />associated with sampling activities and administration for treatment/disposal <br />of liquid and solid wastes derived from dewatering activities. <br />f. Area 50 – Distribution Chamber: selective demolition of structural elements, <br />selective demolition of mechanical and electrical equipment. Demolition of <br />select internal walls. Decommissioning of Parshall Flume and placement of <br />sloping concrete topping slab. Temporary safety fall protection as required, <br />and pressure washing. Efforts associated with sampling activities and <br />administration for treatment/disposal of liquid and solid wastes derived from <br />dewatering activities. <br />g. Area 55 – Secondary Clarifier West: tank dewatering, selective demolition of <br />structural elements, selective demolition of mechanical and electrical <br />equipment. Demolition of secondary clarifier mechanism. Decommissioning <br />of scum pit by filling with LCC with concrete topping slab.
