Covering temporary or permanently exposed soils, <br />e. Restoring disturbed landscaping areas, <br />I. Item #9 – TRENCH SAFETY SYSTEM (Lump Sum) <br />1. The lump sum price for trench safety system consisting of all labor, tools, <br />equipment, materials, appurtenances, and incidentals required to provide, install, <br />maintain, and remove trench safety systems in project areas where trench <br />excavation will exceed a depth of four feet per RCW 39.04.180 and 49.17, and <br />296-155 Part N WAC. <br />J. Item #10 – TEMPORARY FENCING (Linear Foot) <br />1. The linear foot price for temporary fencing. This item includes all labor, tools, <br />equipment, materials, appurtenances, and incidentals required to provide, install, <br />and maintain temporary fencing in project areas indicated on the Drawings. After <br />completion of the Contract, the temporary fencing shall remain in place as noted <br />on the Drawings and becomes property of the City. <br />K. Item #11 – FORCE ACCOUNT (Lump Sum) <br />1. For the purpose of providing a common Proposal for all Bidders, the Owner has <br />entered an amount for Force Account in the Proposal to become part of the total <br />Bid by the Contractor. Payment or credits for changes amounting to a total of <br />$500,000 or less may be made under this Bid Item. The lump sum price for Force <br />Account shall be for work to remedy unforeseen conditions, such as unidentified <br />conflicts, minor repairs, and other instances of unforeseen work. At the Owner’s <br />discretion, Force Account measurement and costs will be negotiated prior to <br />commencing any such work under this pay item. At the Owner’s discretion, the <br />more formal procedure for Force Account may be used as outlined in General <br />Conditions 00 72 00, Section 9.6. Payments or credits will be determined in <br />accordance with General Conditions, Section 9.6. The agreement for Force <br />Account will be documented by signature of the Contractor. If the Contractor is in <br />disagreement with provisions required by the order for Force Account, the <br />Contractor may protest as provided in the General Conditions. . <br />The Owner has predetermined that this Bid Item shall include the costs for Permit <br />fees imposed by the City and paid directly to the City by the Contractor, and costs <br />for 3rd Party Laboratory Testing fees where testing is specified and required by the <br />City for groundwater, soils, and pipeline cleaning water and slurry solids. <br />END OF SECTION 01 22 13
