LOEB <br /> ELECTRIC <br /> 4.2 Arc Flash Relay Specifications and Design <br /> See Appendix G <br /> 4.3 Arc Flash Relay Division of Responsibilities <br /> • Amazon <br /> ■ Will provide site one-line drawings and relay logic diagram <br /> ■ If no one line is provided please stop and contact amazon <br /> ■ Provide Utility Information <br /> ■ Provide IP addresses for BMS through Loeb <br /> Note:Any changes to the relay logic or protection functions outside of the relay logic modification <br /> guide, see Appendix G, need to be approved by Amazon RME Engineering team and communicated <br /> through Loeb. <br /> • Loeb <br /> ■ Provide professional project management services <br /> ■ Lead all communications between stakeholders, including but not limited to: <br /> • Amazon Corporate <br /> • Amazon Site Facility <br /> • VEEC <br /> • Utility/Power Provider <br /> ■ Coordinate power outages with utilities, building services, and IT managers or providers to <br /> perform system diagnostics and backups prior to shut down and data upload (if <br /> applicable) post energization. <br /> ■ Contact local utility to schedule utility outage <br /> • VEEC <br /> ■ Review provided one-line drawings to determine if arc flash relays can be installed on <br /> existing equipment. <br /> ■ If arc flash relays are compatible with existing equipment, a proposal must be provided to <br /> install an arc flash relay on every Main utility Service entrance. <br /> ■ If arc flash relays are not compatible with existing equipment due to lack of shunt trip <br /> functionality, such as (If the main Utility Service entrance Breaker or switch cannot be <br /> tripped by a Shunt Trip) a "modernization" proposal must be provided within (5) <br /> business days of site walk to upgrade the appropriate breaker so the arc flash relay can <br /> be applied. <br /> ■ If site conditions do not allow the Arc Flash Relay to be configured as the drawings show <br /> and modifications need made, VEEC must redline the arc flash relay drawings to show <br /> wiring changes made. <br /> ■ Program SEL relay with customer provided configuration. <br /> ■ Install wiring for CT's and voltage connections (to be completed during scheduled <br /> outage). <br /> • Voltage connections will be: <br /> • Connected to line side of main breaker with confirmation from utility <br /> • Fused at 10A before leaving switchboard <br /> • Connected to a fused disconnect switch installed by the electrical <br /> contractor between the switchboard and the relay enclosure <br /> ■ Install the fiber optic arc sensing cables. Per guidance in Appendix W <br /> ■ Install protection class CTs,with some form of bracing to hold CTs in place. Verify CTs are insulated <br /> from bus utilizing provided boots. <br /> 181 Pag <br />
