41 <br /> uously on the outside of his outer garment, or to refuse on demand of <br /> such officer to produce his license to operate such vehicle or to re- <br /> fuse to permit such officer to take the license in hand for the pur- <br /> pose of examination or to refuse on demand of the peace officer, <br /> without reasonable excuse, to deliver his license to operate a motor <br /> vehicle or the number plates furnished by the state of Washington <br /> for said motor vehicle, or to refuse or neglect to produce his license <br /> when requested by a Court. <br /> Section 22: The operator of any motor vehicle entering upon <br /> an arterial main traveled street or highway, from a public or pri- <br /> vate highway, road, street, alley, way or driveway, shall yield the <br /> right of way to vehicles on such arterial highway and shall come to <br /> a full stop thereat when and where signs, posts or other markers so <br /> direct or indicate. <br /> Section 23: The followin-, streets of the city of Everett are <br /> hereby designated as main arterial main traveled highways: to-wit: <br /> New Pacific Highway, from south city limits to intersection with <br /> Rucker Avenue. <br /> Rucker Avenue, from 42nd Street to Everett Avenue. <br /> Everett Avenue, from the west line of Rucker Avenue to the :}verett <br /> Avenue Bridge <br /> Broadway Avenue, from the south city limits to 12th Street. <br /> New Pacific Highway, from 12th Street to north city limits. <br /> Hewitt Ave from the West line of Grand Ave to the East line of Broadway. <br /> Section 24: It shall be the duty of every person using the <br /> streets, alleys and other public places in the city of Everett to <br /> observe the "rules of the road" as hereinafter prescribed: <br /> (a) Vehicles, and persons driving or riding any animals, pro- <br /> ceeding in opposite directions, shall pass to the right. <br /> (b) Vehicles proceeding in the same direction on overtaking <br /> another vehicle or overtaking any person riding or driving any an- <br /> imal shall pass to the left; provided, however, A variance in good <br /> faith from. the rules herein relating to the turning to the left of <br /> a vehicle when overtaking another vehicle, or any person riding or <br /> driving an animal, going in the same direction where the exigencies <br /> of the situation permit, shall not subject the offender to arrest <br /> r., <br />
