2024 Pavement Maintenance Overlay SPECIAL PROVISIONS PW# 3823 76 (******) 1 "Vehicle Loop Detectors," per linear foot. 2 3 The unit contract price shall include saw cutting, cleaning and drying of pavement, 4 installing loops and home runs, loop lead-in conduits, loop wire, sealant, splice kit and 5 splicing between loop wire and lead-on cable, any work necessary to access a junction 6 box and testing of the vehicle detectors as defined in Section 8-20.3(14)D. 7 8 No payment shall be made for any loops that are not spliced and fully operational, 9 including any loop detector lead in cable required to make the loop operational. 10 11 “Loop Detector Lead-In Cable”, per linear foot. 12 13 The unit contract price shall be full pay for furnishing and installing each loop detector 14 lead-In cable in existing conduits between the traffic signal control cabinet and loop splice 15 point, including all and all other Work necessary terminate loop lead in cable at either end. 16 17 No payment shall be made for any detector lead-in cable that is not spliced and fully 18 operational, including any testing required to make the loop operational. 19 20 “Conduit Pipe 2 In. Diam.”, per linear foot. 21 The unit contract price shall be full pay as described in this Section for furnishing and 22 installing each conduit stub-out where shown in the Plans, including furnishing all conduit, 23 elbows, bends, and fittings for placing the pipe in accordance with the above provisions, 24 including all excavation or jacking required, backfilling of any voids around stub out, pits, 25 or trenches; bedding of the pipe, chipping of pavement, and all other Work necessary for 26 the construction of the conduit stub-out. 27 28 “Video Detection System ____”, lump sum. 29 30 The lump sum Contract price for “Video Detection System ____”, shall be full pay for the 31 construction of the complete video detection system as described above and as shown 32 in the Plans, and herein specified, including complete installation of owner furnished 33 materials to provide a fully functioning video detection system at the location described. 34 The Contract price shall include restoring facilities destroyed or damaged during 35 construction, salvaging existing materials, and for making all required tests.
