CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Water Main Replacement “Y” – Ph 1 Div 1 – GENERAL REQMTS March 2024 <br />Work Order No. UP 3814 SP-107 <br />1-08.3(2)B Baseline Schedule <br />The progress schedule submitted to the City’s Representative and City after their <br />review of the Preliminary Schedule shall be the Baseline Schedule. The Baseline <br />Schedule shall be the baseline schedule against which all future schedules are <br />compared and updated, and job progress is measured. The Baseline Schedule <br />shall not be reset or changed without the written agreement of City’s <br />Representative and City. <br />1-08.3(2)C Updates <br />Contractor shall submit with each application for payment or progress pay <br />estimate an updated progress schedule, but no less often than monthly. If <br />requested by City’s Representative or the City, Contractor shall prepare and <br />submit updated progress schedules from time to time, which may be more <br />frequent than monthly. <br />An updated progress schedule shall identify progress of the Project or Work to the <br />date of submission. It shall include, but not be limited to: (1) identification of all <br />actual start and completion dates occurring prior to the submission of the <br />schedule; (2) comparison of actual start and completion dates to the planned start <br />and completion dates shown on the Baseline Schedule; and (3) comparison of <br />expected start and completion dates for work to occur after submission updated <br />progress schedule to the planned start and completion dates shown on the <br />Baseline Schedule. Work remaining to be completed at the end of a period for an <br />activity should show the remaining duration required to complete that activity. The <br />percent complete for that activity should also be shown. If during the course of <br />construction the Contractor desires or feels it necessary to make changes in the <br />schedule logic, these changes should be identified, highlighted, and specifically <br />and expressly brought to the attention of the City’s Representative and City along <br />with the schedule update. <br />An updated progress schedule shall show changes occurring since submission of <br />the previous updated progress schedule such as: <br />1. Major changes in scope; <br />2. Activities modified since previous submission; <br />3. Revised projection for construction completion, as applicable; and <br />4. Any other changes. <br />Contractor shall submit an updated progress schedule for review by the City and <br />City’s Representative, at the weekly construction meeting or as otherwise as <br />requested by City’s Representative or City. Any deviation from the Baseline <br />Schedule shall be explained by the Contractor, including the cause and effect of <br />the deviation. Contractor shall state in writing the corrective measures it will take <br />to bring the progress of the Work back in line with the Baseline Schedule. <br />Once an actual start or completion date is stated in a submitted progress <br />schedule, Contractor shall not change schedule without prior written agreement of <br />the City and City’s Representative. <br />With each submitted updated progress schedule, Contractor shall provide a <br />written narrative report that identifies anticipated or actual deviations from the <br />Baseline Schedule, causes of the deviations, and the impact of the deviations on <br />the schedule and describes the corrective action taken or proposed, and its effect. <br />1-08.3(3) Schedule Updates <br />Delete 1-08.3(3) and substitute the following:
