<br />6. Removal and disposal of the existing water main pipe and fittings within the limits of the
<br />installed temporary water main.
<br />7. Protection and maintenance of temporary water main until such time the new permanent
<br />water main is installed, tested, approved by the engineer, and activated.
<br />8. Provide rubber ramps for private property access and protection to temporary pipe.
<br />9. Disassembly and removal of the temporary water main system.

<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br />The unit contract price for valves shall constitute full compensation for all labor, materials, tools
<br />and equipment necessary and incidental to furnish and install valves complete in place on the
<br />watermain, including but not limited to, dewatering; removal and disposal of existing curb and
<br />gutter, and sidewalk; excavation, removal, hauling, and disposal of excavated materials;
<br />furnishing, jointing, and installing valves and valve boxes with extensions if necessary; installing
<br />temporary concrete thrust blocks; restraint systems; painting; flushing and disinfecting; furnishing,
<br />installing, compacting, and testing bedding and backfill materials; constructing asphalt concrete
<br />pad around valve box if necessary; cleanup; and any additional work, materials, and equipment
<br />required to install the valves and assembly, except as included in other unit price bids.

<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br />The unit price per each shall be full compensation for all work to furnish and install fire hydrant in
<br />accordance with Parts B, C, E, F, I, and J noted in COE Standard Drawing No. 507. Work
<br />includes, yet not limited to, all costs for clearing and grubbing; excavation, removal, haul and
<br />disposal of excavated materials; furnishing, installing, testing, and disinfecting new fire hydrant;
<br />shoring; dewatering; furnishing, installing and compacting bedding and backfill materials; and
<br />plastic film wrap required for the complete installation of the hydrant as specified.
<br />Bid Item A28, B27, C26 - Remove Ex Fire Hydrant

<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br />The unit contract price for Remove Ex Fire Hydrant shall constitute full compensation for all labor,
<br />materials, tools and equipment necessary for removal of structures or obstructions not specifically
<br />covered under other Bid Items, excavation and dewatering, removing and disposal of the existing
<br />hydrant assembly, valves, and connected piping.

<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br />The unit contract price to Assist COE in Connecting to Existing Watermain shall constitute full
<br />compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for connection to existing
<br />system, in accordance with 7-09.3(19)A including, yet not limited to; all costs for traffic control,
<br />excavation, shoring, dewatering, haul and disposal of excavated materials, furnishing all required
<br />water pipe and fittings, furnishing, installing and compacting bedding and backfill materials; labor
<br />and equipment required for the complete installation of the connection as specified.
