4.2 CRITICAL AREA BOUNDARY DETERMINATION
One wetland (Wetland A) is located on the subject property. Wetland A is classified pursuant to
EMC 19.37.090(C) and its buffer is set forth by Table 37.2 of EMC 19.3 7.11 O(A).
4.2.1 Wetland A
HGM Class: Depressional
Cowardin Class: Palustrine, Forested, Broadleaf-deciduous, Seasonally flooded
Wetland Score (Functions/Habitat): 18/5
Department of Ecology Rating: Category III
City of Everett Standard Buffer: 80 feet
Wetland A is an approximately 0.89 acre depressional wetland located at the center of the subject
property. This wetland enters from off-site to the west and extends off-site to the east. Wetland A
drains north under 991h Street SE via a culvert. Due to observations of soil surface cracks and a
sparsely vegetated concave surface, the entirety of this wetland is expected to exhibit surface
ponding during the wet season.
m:y
Y,
Figure 7 — Edge of Wetland A, recently Figure 8 — Understory of Wetland recently
placed woodchips. Undisturbed portions of the wetland east of the property are more dense and include
the presence of pacific willow (Salix lasiandra; FACW), salmonberry (Rubus spectabdis; FAC), and
hardhack(Spirea douglasii; FACW).
Soils within the undisturbed eastern portion of Wetland A are typically black(IOYR 2/1) silt loam
throughout the entire soil profile. From approximately seven to 20 inches below the surface, five
percent of yellowish-brown(1 OYR 5/6)redoximorphic concentrations and 15 percent of light olive
gray(5Y 6/2) depleted concentrations are present. In areas of disturbance, soils are very dark gray
2127100th Street SE 7 WRI#23188
Critical Area Study and Mitigation Plan October 9, 2023
