5.O PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS IMPACT ASSESSMENTS AND RESTORATION PLAN
5.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The applicant is proposing to restore the areas of Wetland A and its buffer that were cleared as
part of a project to renovate the property and discourage trespassing.
A
2022 - a • X2023
N
A
NTS NTS
Figure 13 2022 image provided from PDS Figure 14 2023 Aerial overlay displaying
showing forested back yard and ROW. clearing, new gravel, and new fencing.
The site clearing impacted a total of 11,204 square feet of wetland and 19,887 square feet
(10,667+8,910+320) of buffer. The applicant proposes to restore impacted areas of wetland and
buffer by installing native vegetation throughout the impacted areas. The total area to be restored
is 31,091 square feet, which will be planted with native trees, shrubs, or grass depending on pre-
disturbance conditions.
Additionally, the applicant proposes to restore the site to the pre-existing footprint by removing
approximately 1,721 square feet of new gravel, adjusting the cedar board fencing, and removing
any additional debris from the restoration area. Two critical area signs will be affixed to the cedar
board fencing, and a single critical area sign post will be installed along the southern property
boundary to demarcate the protected area.
5.2 FENCING AND CRITICAL AREA SIGNAGE
The applicant proposes to restore the fencing around the existing SFR to match the pre-existing
footprint.Approximately 187 linear feet of fence that is further east and south than the pre-existing
condition will be removed. Approximately 84 linear feet of cedar board fencing will be installed
approximately 10 feet east of the existing SFR in its pre-existing footprint. The western, northern,
and a portion of the southern fence within approximately 10 feet of the SFR were constructed on
top of the pre-existing fence footprint, effectively repairing the structure, and are proposed to
remain. Fencing within the western portion of the southern property boundary is located
approximately 15 feet from 100th Street SE, however, meets the exception for replacing a non-
conforming fence per EMC 19.40.010(A)(4)(d).
