Edgewater Creek Bridge Replacement November 2023 131 suitable native material backfill shall be allowed, in accordance with Specifications herein. 1 Pavement areas greater than ten square feet shall be roller compacted to consolidate the 2 temporary pavement. The completed pavement shall be free from ridges, ruts, bumps, 3 depressions, objectionable marks, or other irregularities. 4 5 The Contractor shall immediately repair, patch, or remove any temporary pavement that does 6 not provide a flat transition between existing pavement areas. 7 8 All temporary asphalt pavement to the depth of the final paving shall be removed from the site 9 by the end of the project and shall not be used as permanent asphalt pavement or its Subgrade 10 material. 11 12 Measurement 13 Cold Mix Asphalt shall be measured by the ton in accordance with Section 1-09.2, with no 14 deduction being made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or any 15 other component of the HMA. HMA or asphalt treated base used for temporary pavement 16 shall be paid for as “Cold Mix Asphalt”. 17 18 Payment 19 Payment will be made for the following bid item when included in the proposal: 20 21 " Cold Mix Asphalt”, per ton. 22 23 The unit Contract price per ton for “Cold Mix Asphalt”, shall be full compensation for all costs 24 incurred to carry out the requirements of Section 5-06 including placement, removal, and haul 25 to the depth of final paving depth as shown in the Plans, except for those costs included in 26 other items which are included in the Proposal. 27 28
