Edgewater Creek Bridge Replacement November 2023 133 6-02.2.INST1.GR6 1 Section 6-02.2 is supplemented with the following: 2 3 6-02.2.OPT46.GB6 4 Bridge Supported Utilities 5 6 6-02.2.OPT46(A).GB6 7 (June 26, 2000) 8 Inserts shall be of the type and model specified in the Plans. Inserts shall be galvanized 9 in accordance with AASHTO M 111. 10 11 6-02.2.OPT46(B).GB6 12 (September 3, 2019) 13 Hanger rods, and associated nuts and washers, shall conform to Section 9-06.5(1), and 14 shall be galvanized in accordance with ASTM F2329. 15 16 Steel bars and plates shall conform to ASTM A 36 and shall be galvanized in accordance 17 with AASHTO M 111. 18 19 6-02.2.OPT46(C).GB6 20 (September 3, 2019) 21 Horizontal strut bolts or threaded rods, and associated nuts and washers, shall conform 22 to Section 9-06.5(1), and shall be galvanized in accordance with ASTM F2329. 23 24 Pre-formed fabric pads shall be composed of multiple layers of duck, impregnated and 25 bound with high quality oil resistant synthetic rubber, compressed into resilient pads. The 26 pre-formed fabric pads shall conform to latest edition of MIL C 882 and the following 27 requirements. The number of plies shall be as required to produce the specified 28 thickness, after compression and vulcanizing. 29 30 Pre-formed fabric pads shall have a shore A hardness of 90+5 in accordance with ASTM 31 D 2240. 32 33 Pre-formed fabric pads for bridge utility supports will be accepted based on the 34 Manufacturer’s Certificate of Compliance that the material furnished conforms to these 35 specifications. 36 37 6-02.2.OPT46(D).GB6 38 (June 26, 2000) 39 Pipe rolls or pipe saddles shall be of the type and model specified in the Plans. 40 41 6-02.2(9-08).DOCX 42 Paints and Related Materials 43 44 6-02.2(9-08).INST1.DOCX 45 Section 9-08 is supplemented with the following: 46 47
