Edgewater Creek Bridge Replacement November 2023 72 10. Where it is necessary to divert pedestrians into the roadway, barriers must 1 be provided to separate the pedestrian walkway from the adjacent vehicular 2 traffic lane. Pedestrians must not, at any time, be diverted into a portion of 3 a street used concurrently by moving vehicular traffic. 4 5 11. Truck traffic shall not be allowed to travel on Shore Avenue beyond the road 6 closure/project limits shown in the Plans. 7 8 12. Nighttime work will not be allowed for the duration of the project. For 9 purposes of Traffic Control Restrictions, night is defined as between the 10 hours of 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM Monday through Friday, excluding Holidays. 11 12 Full bridge closure is subject to the following restrictions 13 14 1. PCMS signs shall be displayed along 41st Street west of Rucker Avenue for 15 eastbound traffic, along Glenwood Avenue south of Mukilteo Boulevard for 16 northbound traffic, and along SR-525 south of 84th Street SW for 17 northbound traffic. Each sign shall provide a minimum of 5 business days 18 advance notice of impending bridge closure, and effective hours of bridge 19 detour. An approved traffic control plan is required. 20 21 2. All detour signs shall be in place for to full closure of the Edgewater Bridge. 22 23 3. The approved traffic control plan for the detour route shall be in effect during 24 the bridge closure. 25 26 *** 27 28 If the Engineer determines the permitted closure hours adversely affect traffic, the 29 Engineer may adjust the hours accordingly. The Engineer will notify the Contractor 30 in writing of any change in the closure hours. Exceptions to these restrictions are 31 listed below and when applicable take precedence over closures listed above. The 32 Engineer may also consider on a case-by-case basis additional exceptions following 33 a written request by the Contractor. 34 35 Lane, ramp, shoulder, and roadway closures are not allowed on any of the following: 36 37 1. A holiday, 38 39 2. A holiday weekend; holidays that occur on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or 40 Monday are considered a holiday weekend. A holiday weekend includes 41 Saturday, Sunday, and the holiday. 42 43 3. After *** 9:00 PM *** on the day prior to a holiday or holiday weekend, and 44 45 4. Before *** 5:00 AM *** on the day after the holiday or holiday weekend. 46 47 5. The two-hour period prior to and the two-hour period after the following 48 special events: 49 50 *** No special events anticipated. *** 51 52
