Bid Item 6 - DEMOLITION
<br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS)
<br />The lump sum bid price for this bid item shall be full compensation for all costs associated with
<br />furnishing the tools, labor, equipment, and materials necessary or incidental with removal and
<br />disposal of the following:
<br />a. Asphalt
<br />b. All other various existing improvements, structure foundations, structures, fences, curb and
<br />gutter, pipes, bollards, valves, manholes, catch basins, and various other items. as indicated
<br />on the Drawings. Abandonment where required is considered incidental to the Project.
<br />c. All site cleanup and demolition not included in Bid Item 5.
<br />Partial payment shall be calculated based on the ratio of work completed as listed in the Schedule
<br />of Values.
<br />Bid Item 7 - YARD PIPING AND FITTINGS
<br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS)
<br />The lump sum bid price for this bid item shall be full compensation for all costs associated with
<br />furnishing the tools, labor, equipment, and materials necessary or incidental for the following:
<br />a. Excavation, haul, imported backfill, CDF, pipe bedding, and trench dewatering.
<br />b. Steel and ductile iron pipe, fittings, welding, double ball expansion fittings and restrained
<br />joints. Includes all pipe below the reservoir and all pipe connections.
<br />c. Ring and foundation drain piping.
<br />d. Valves, valve boxes, and other detailed items.
<br />e. Furnishing and placing of detectable marking tape or tracer wire.
<br />f. Installation of pipe anchors and pipe cutoff walls.
<br />g. Temporary and permanent thrust blocking and dead man blocks, and temporary and
<br />permanent restraint systems.
<br />h. Ethafoam pads or sand backfill between this pipe and any existing watermains or other
<br />utilities encountered.
<br />i. Maintenance, restoration and/or relocation, if required, of existing water mains, electrical
<br />systems, and dechlorination systems, chlorine monitoring, sump pumps, other pumping
<br />systems, culverts, storm drainage pipe, other utilities and structures affected by construction
<br />that are to remain.
<br />j. Abandonment of existing pipes where indicated on the Drawings, including cutting, draining
<br />and proper disposal, and plugging of abandoned pipe at each end with a minimum of 2-feet
<br />of commercial concrete or CDF.
<br />k. CCTV inspections, flushing, cleaning, bacteriological testing, and disinfection of the pipes.
<br />I. Hydrant assemblies
<br />m. Air release/air and/or vacuum valve assemblies including valve box or chamber and marker
<br />post.
<br />n. Corrosion Protection System including welding, wiring, anodes, and coatings,
<br />o. CCTV inspection, cleaning, and flushing of the City sewer facilities. Additional cleaning and
<br />inspections required will be at the Contractor's expense.
<br />p. Decommissioning of all dewatering and monitoring wells. This item includes coordination with
<br />Ecology and submittal of paperwork required for decommissioning.
<br />q. Dechlorination system vaults and drainage piping.
<br />Excludes work listed in the AWWD Pipe Support bid item and the Stormwater Detention Vaults and
<br />Stormwater Improvements bid items.
<br />Partial payment shall be calculated based on the ratio of work completed as listed in the Schedule
<br />of Values.
