The Progress Schedule will be acceptable to Engineer if it provides an orderly progression <br />of the Work to completion within the Contract time and constraints, all in accordance with <br />the Contract Documents. <br />4. Initially -accepted Progress Schedule shall be identified as the baseline Progress Schedule. <br />E. Planned Completion Different from the Contract Times: <br />1. If the Progress Schedule accepted by Engineer indicates completion date(s) different than <br />the Contract Times, the Contract Times are not thereby changed. <br />2. Where the Progress Schedule accepted by Engineer indicates date(s) by which the Work, <br />or designated portion thereof, will (a) achieve a Contractually stipulated Milestone, or (b) be <br />substantially complete, or (c) all the Work will be complete and ready for final payment, <br />earlier than the Contract Times ("early completion date"), Contractor shall, not less than <br />180 days prior to the associated Contract Time, prepare and submit a Change Proposal <br />setting forth Contractor's request to modify the Contract Times to an earlier date, which <br />may or may not be the same as the scheduled early completion date. The Contract Times <br />can be modified only via a Change Order. <br />3. In the event the Progress Schedule accepted by Engineer indicates one or more early <br />completion dates and the Contract Times have not been reduced, Owner may, at Owner's <br />option, use available float without Owner being liable for Contractor's costs to remain <br />onsite, mobilized, and working (whether on the original scope of the Work or for modified <br />Work) beyond the scheduled early completion date, as long as the Work will be completed <br />within the Contract time. <br />4. When the Work will not be completed within the Contract time, the Contract Documents' <br />provisions concerning delays and changes in the Contract Times govern. <br />1.07 LOOK -AHEAD SCHEDULES <br />A. General: <br />1. Look -ahead schedules are short -duration, often more -detailed, time -based schedules for <br />the Work to be performed during the coming month or other required span of the look - <br />ahead schedule. <br />2. Purpose of look -ahead schedules is to present, for Project stakeholders, including Owner, <br />AWWD, Engineer, Owner -hired testing and inspection entities, other contractors working at <br />or adjacent to the Site, utility owners, transportation facility owners, and others as <br />necessary, Contractor's detailed, time -based plan for performing the Work during the <br />period covered by the time span of the look -ahead schedule. <br />3. The required span and frequency of look -ahead schedules in a four week period. <br />4. Each look -ahead schedule shall be fully coordinated and consistent with the current <br />Progress Schedule update. <br />5. Submit look -ahead schedules concurrent with construction progress meetings, in <br />accordance with Section 01 31 26 - Electronic Communication Protocols, and Section 01 <br />33 00 - Submittal Procedures. Also submit look -ahead schedules in native (executable) <br />format, in accordance with Section 01 31 26 - Electronic Communication Protocols. <br />6. As handouts, bring to each construction progress meeting the quantity of paper copies of <br />the new look -ahead schedule. Furnish quantity equal to typical number of attendees of <br />progress meetings. <br />B. Organization and Content of Look -Ahead Schedules: <br />1. Look -ahead schedules shall be prepared from the current Progress Schedule update, of <br />the same type, using the same software, content, and organization required in this Section <br />for initial Progress Schedules. <br />2. Activity designations on look -ahead schedules shall incorporate the associated activity <br />designations from the Progress Schedule. <br />3.
