Chapter 19.04 EMC, Definitions Page 23 of 55 <br />The Everett Municipal Code is current through Ordinance 4031-24, passed May 22, 2024. <br />“Automobile and truck service, light” means a business where vehicle repair and maintenance, <br />cleaning and alterations are performed. Cleaning includes automatic and self-service washing, <br />vacuuming and detailing. <br />“Automobile dismantling/recycling” means the disassembly of vehicles, together with sorting, <br />cleaning and storage of spare parts and recyclable materials, such as scrap metals. <br />“Automobile drive-through facility” means all equipment and improvements used to allow <br />customers to be served from within their vehicles. This includes order placing stations, <br />speakers, service windows, signs, driveways and holding lanes. <br />“Automobile, light truck or RV sales or rental” means a business where new or used cars, light <br />trucks and recreational vehicles are displayed for sale, rent or lease, typically outdoors on a <br />paved parking lot. This use may include a showroom and/or service facility. <br />“Body repair and painting” means a business that includes repair of damaged vehicles and <br />painting or repainting. <br />“Casino, mini” means a business which provides gambling and gaming as a primary source of its <br />revenue, which may include food and beverage sales for consumption on the premises as a <br />secondary part of its business activity. <br />“Clinic” means a building or portion of a building designed and used for the medical, dental or <br />surgical diagnosis or treatment of patients under the care of doctors. <br />“Commercial parking” means a parking lot or parking garage that is designed, used or intended <br />to be used for the parking of motor vehicles outside the street right-of-way. Commercial <br />parking areas are used, rented or leased to the general public, customers or residents of <br />development, or are provided as public parking for persons commuting to another location, <br />such as a park-and-ride lot. This use does not include parking lots or garages which are <br />constructed as required for, or accessory to, another permitted use. <br />“Convention center” means a large civic building or group of buildings designed for <br />conventions, industrial shows, and the like, having large exhibit areas and often including <br />conference rooms, hotel accommodations, restaurants, and other facilities. <br />“Day care center, commercial” means a day care facility for more than twelve children or adults.
