The payment for removal of buried man-made debris shall be <br />12 full compensation for all costs for the specified Work to include removing, loading, hauling, <br />13 and all associated disposal costs. <br />14 <br />15 For the purpose of providing a common proposal for all bidders, the Contracting Agency <br />16 has entered an amount in the proposal to become a part of the Contractors total Bid. <br />17 <br />18 COE 8-04 Curbs.RTF <br />19 8-04 CURBS, GUTTERS, AND SPILLWAYS <br />20 (******) <br />21 <br />22 SECTION 8-04.1 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS IS DELETED AND REPLACED BY <br />23 THE FOLLOWING: <br />24 <br />25 8-04.1 Description <br />26 <br />27 "Cement Concrete Curb and Gutter Type A-1", "Cement Concrete Curb Type ___" and <br />28 "Asphalt Concrete Curb", shall be in accordance with Section 8-04 of the Standard <br />29 Specifications as modified in these Special Provisions and shall conform to the <br />30 Construction Plans and Standard Drawings. <br />31 <br />32 SECTION 8-04.3(1) OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS IS SUPPLEMENTED BY <br />33 THE FOLLOWING: <br />34 <br />35 8-04.3 Construction Requirements <br />36 <br />37 8-04.3(1) Cement Concrete Curbs, Gutters, and Spillways <br />38 <br />39 Joints shall be dummy joints at a maximum spacing of 15’ with 1/2" through-expansion <br />40 joints at beginning of curves, at curb return tangency points, at each side of catch <br />41 basins, and at driveways. <br />42 <br />43 The subbase for curb and gutter sections shall be compacted to 95% density at <br />44 optimum moisture content before placing the curb and gutter. <br />45 <br />46 The top of the finished concrete shall not deviate more than 1/8" in 10’, nor the <br />47 alignment 1/4" in 10’. <br />48
