CITY OF EVERETT WEST MARINE VIEW DRIVE/ALVERSON AND 41 ST ST/GRAND AVE <br />PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS <br />STATE FUND# HLP-PB15(032) <br />WO #3630 July 25, 2024 <br />27 <br />1 Site Preservation <br />2 The Contractor shall preserve the site after initial cleanup of biological and <br />3 physical hazards. <br />4 <br />5 On a daily basis and prior to performing any Work in areas where pedestrians or <br />6 encampments may be present, the Contractor shall verify that the Work area is <br />7 cleared of all persons not associated with the project. Individuals may seek <br />8 shelter in dumpsters, equipment, under blankets, or other places hidden from <br />9 view. Individuals may be disabled, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs and <br />10 it should not be assumed that loud construction noise will wake them. <br />11 <br />12 If the worksite becomes unsanitary or unsafe due to new encampments or new <br />13 biological and associated physical hazards after initial cleanup is completed, then <br />14 the Contractor shall perform additional site assessment, additional notification <br />15 and additional cleanup. <br />16 <br />17 The Engineer may authorize additional site preservation measures. The nature <br />18 and frequency of these measures will be as agreed to by the Engineer. Additional <br />19 site preservation measures may include the use of fencing, lighting, or security, <br />20 provided it is approved in advance by the Engineer. Work performed without <br />21 Engineer authorization will not be eligible for payment. <br />22 <br />23 Measurement <br />24 No trespassing signs will be measured per each. <br />25 <br />26 Payment <br />27 Payment will be made for the following bid items when they are included in the <br />28 proposal: <br />29 <br />30 No Trespassing Sign, per each. <br />31 The unit contract price per each No Trespassing Sign shall be full payment for <br />32 all Work required to furnish, install, maintain and remove the signs. <br />33 <br />34 Health and Safety Plan, lump sum. <br />35 The lump sum unit contract price for Health and Safety Plan shall be full <br />36 payment for all Work associated with the preparation and implementation of the <br />37 Health and Safety Plan including the initial and follow up assessment(s) for initial <br />38 site cleanup, worker training and personal protective equipment, and providing <br />39 required notifications. <br />40 <br />41 "FA-Site Cleanup of Bio. And Physical Hazards, by force account as provided in <br />42 Section 1-09.6. <br />43 <br />44 Removal and disposal of biological and physical hazards; removal of individuals <br />45 and encampments; removal, storage, and return of personal property; disposal <br />46 of unclaimed personal property; additional site assessment, notifications, worker <br />47 training and personal protective equipment required after the initial site cleanup <br />48 is completed; and site preservation Work authorized by the Engineer will be paid <br />49 for by force account in accordance with Section 1-09.6. <br />50
