18TH STREET PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS 3741 RMT July 03, 2024 64 1 Cement concrete curbs shall be constructed where shown on plans or as directed by 2 the Engineer in accordance with Standard Drawing Nos. 307, 308, and 309. 3 4 At locations shown on the construction plans, the Contractor shall construct storm 5 drainage frames and grates into cement concrete curb and gutter, per Standard 6 Drawings Nos. 407 and 412. 7 8 8-04.5 Payment 9 10 SECTION 8-04.5 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS IS SUPPLEMENTED WITH 11 THE FOLLOWING: 12 13 14 Payment will be made for each of the following bid items that may be included in the 15 proposal: 16 17 Add the following items: 18 "Cement Concrete Curb and Gutter Type A-1," per linear foot. 19 "Cement Concrete Curb Type ___," per linear foot. 20 "Extruded Asphalt Concrete Curb," per linear foot. 21 "Extruded Cement Concrete Curb," per linear foot. 22 23 "Cement Concrete Curb and Gutter Type A-1", "Cement Concrete Curb Type ___", 24 "Extruded Asphalt Concrete Curb", and "Extruded Cement Concrete Curb", per linear foot 25 shall be full compensation for all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals, including 26 forms, necessary to perform the work. Installation of curb depressions for driveway cuts 27 and wheelchair ramps shall be incidental to these items and no separate payment will be 28 made. 29 30 COE 8-05 PRIVATE IMPROVEMENT.rtf 31 SECTION 8-05 PRIVATE IMPROVEMENTS (NEW SECTION) 32 (******) 33 34 VACANT SECTION 8-05 OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS IS REPLACED BY THE 35 FOLLOWING: 36 37 8-05.1 Description 38 This work shall consist of removing and restoration of certain private improvements to 39 conform to the new requirements due to construction. 40 41 8-05.2 Existing Private Improvements Restoration 42 43 As directed by the Engineer, existing private improvements that require relocation to 44 accommodate the new construction, shall be restored in a location acceptable to the 45 property owner and the Engineer. The Contractor shall protect and preserve from any 46 damage or destruction all private property whether required to be removed and relocated 47 or not. Private property damaged or destroyed due to the Contractor's negligence shall 48 be removed and replaced in kind by the Contractor at his expense. 49
