18TH STREET PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS 3741 RMT July 03, 2024 65 1 8-05.3 Vacant 2 3 8-05.4 Measurement 4 5 "Existing Private Improvements Restoration" shall be measured by force account. 6 7 8-05.5 Payment 8 9 Payment will be made for each of the following bid items that are included in the proposal. 10 11 1. "Existing Private Improvements Restoration," by force account. 12 13 "Existing Private Improvements Restoration" will be paid for by force account as specified 14 in Section 1-09.6 of the Standard Specifications. For the purpose of providing a common 15 proposal for all bidders, and for that purpose only, the City has estimated the amount for 16 force account for "Existing Private Improvements Restoration" and has entered the 17 amount in the proposal to become a part of the total bid by the Contractor. 18 19 20 COE 8-06 Cement Dwy.RTF 21 8-06 CEMENT CONCRETE DRIVEWAY RAMP 22 (******) 23 24 All references to "Cement Concrete Driveway Entrance Type ____" within this provision shall 25 be revised to read "Cement Concrete Driveway Ramp Type__", as defined in accordance to 26 the City of Everett Standard Drawing #315 to #317. 27 28 8-06.3 Construction Requirements 29 The first paragraph under Section 8-06.3 shall be deleted and replaced with the following: 30 31 Cement concrete driveway approaches shall be constructed with Commercial Concrete 32 conforming to the requirements of Section 6-02 or Portland Cement Concrete Pavement 33 conforming to the requirements of Section 5-05. 34 35 Cement concrete driveways and sidewalk driveway approaches shall be a minimum of 6” thick 36 and shall be constructed using Commercial concrete as specified in Section 6-02.3 (2) B of 37 the Standard Specifications. Concrete finishing for transitions to existing cement concrete 38 driveways shall match the existing surface as closely as possible. 39 40 Existing cement concrete driveways shall be sawcut and the new pavement butt jointed to the 41 existing driveway. 42 43 Subgrade/CSTC shall be compacted to a minimum of 95% maximum density at optimum 44 moisture content. 45 46 Forms for the straight sections of the driveway shall have a minimum thickness of 3" and be 47 equal to the nominal depth of the concrete. Plywood or 1" lumber may be used on radii. All 48 forms shall be securely staked and blocked to true line and grade. 49
