18TH STREET PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS 3741 RMT July 03, 2024 66 1 The driveway shall be protected against damage or defacement of any kind until acceptance 2 by Owner. Any driveway not acceptable, in the opinion of the Engineer, because of damage 3 or defacement shall be removed and shall be replaced by the Contractor at his expense. 4 5 Before placing any concrete, the Contractor shall have on the job site enough protective paper, 6 or equivalent, to cover the pour of an entire day in the event of rain or other unsuitable weather 7 conditions. 8 9 Curing of approach concrete shall be in accordance with Section 5-05.3(13). 10 11 Concrete approaches may be opened to traffic in accordance with Section 5-05.3(18). 12 13 8-06.4 Measurement 14 15 Section 8-06.4 shall be supplemented with the following: 16 17 Removal of existing driveway entrance, and preparing the sub-base shall be paid under 18 contract unit price of "Roadway Excavation Incl. Haul." 19 20 The placing of the CSTC under the new Cement Conc. Driveway Ramp shall be paid for in 21 accordance to Section 4-04. 22 23 8-06.5 Payment 24 25 Section 8-06.5 is supplemented with the following: 26 27 "Cement Concrete Driveway Ramp Type _____", per Square Yard. 28 29 30 GSL 8-14 SDWK & CURB RAMP.docx 31 8-14 CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALKS 32 8-14.3 Construction Requirements 33 34 Section 8-14.3 shall be deleted and replaced with the following: 35 36 (******) 37 38 The concrete in the Cement Concrete Sidewalk shall be Commercial Mix in accordance 39 with the requirements of Section 6-02, and as defined in the City of COE Standard 40 Drawing No. 312. 41 42 8-14.3(1) Excavation 43 44 Section 8-14.3 (1) is supplemented with the following: 45 46
