October 23, 2024 <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />The Council received fifteen (15) written comments, and the following members of the public <br />spoke: Leo Lorge, Russell Joe, John Peoples, Ethan Pfahl, and Alexis Boies. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Ramsey Ramerman provided clarification regarding the citizen’s initiatives <br />on the voting pamphlet, that the county was responsible for soliciting the committee for the pro <br />and con statements, and not that of the City’s responsibility or duty. <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Several council members thanked the public commentors. <br /> <br />Council Member Tuohy attended the Safe Community Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Bader attended the Master Builders Forum and the Lowell Neighborhood <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Rhyne provided comments on ballot citizen initiatives. She also attended the Ice <br />Cream Bar opening on Colby Avenue, the Port Gardner Association meeting, the Historic <br />Commission meeting, State of the Station Address at the Port of Everett and stated that the <br />Haunted Harbor at the Port is on Friday, and Downtown Trick-Or-Treating is scheduled for <br />Saturday. <br /> <br />Vice President Zarlingo attended the Pinehurst-Beverly Park Neighborhood meeting, Q&A with <br />the Everett Police Department, and the Snohomish County Tomorrow Steering Committee <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Council member Vogeli had questions regarding the new buffer zone and the overturn of Grants <br />Pass. She also provided comments on the ongoing issues and complaints regarding downtown <br />parking and attended the Transportation Advisory Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Fosse congratulated the two new police officers and provided comments on the <br />downtown parking issues and complaints, the stadium, voter pamphlet citizen initiatives, <br />Compass Health and Lombard issues. She requested if Legal could provide an educational briefing <br />regarding voting ballot process at a future council meeting. She reminded the public that the next <br />regular council meeting will be held next Wednesday, October 30th at 12:30 p.m. She attended <br />the Safe Community Committee meeting, Fusion Week, the Ice Cream Bar opening, and an event <br />held by Rick Larsen. She stated that there is a tree planting event at Wiggums Hollow Park on <br />Saturday, October 26th at 4 p.m. <br />
