CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />3rd Ave Water Quality Facility Division B – BID DESCRIPTIONS September 20, 2024 <br />WO No. – UP 3775 SP - 19 <br /> <br />Include in this bid item the cost of sprinkling during dry periods prior to placement of the <br />crushed surfacing and while spreading and compacting the material. <br />Payment for crushed surfacing base course will be by the ton of material placed and <br />approved by the Inspector. <br /> HMA Cl. 1/2 in. PG 64-22 <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton (TON) <br />Measurement for HMA, for Overlay shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight tickets <br />in accordance with 1-09.2 WEIGHING EQUIPMENT for HMA placed within the limits of <br />dimensions defined in the Work or shown on the Plans, Standard Specifications, Section 5- <br />06 of these Special Provisions, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. No deduction <br />will be made for the weight of asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or other component <br />of the mixture. <br />The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work <br />necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, roll and perform density tests on multiple lifts <br />of HMA – CL 1/2” PG 64-22 pavement including streets, alleys, and street crossings, as <br />shown on the Plans. <br />Furnishing and applying tack coat, prime coat, joint seal and crack sealing asphalt is to be <br />included in this bid item with no direct compensation made. All costs for “Anti Stripping <br />Additive” and “Compaction Adjustment” shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of <br />the HMA with no direct compensation made. <br />The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work <br />necessary to furnish, place, compact, roll and perform density tests on ATB placed in <br />accordance with the Plans, Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions. <br /> Planing Bituminous Pavement (3-inch Depth) <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard (SY) <br />Measurement for Planing Bituminous Pavement (3-inch Depth) shall be per square yard as <br />delineated by the Contractor and approved by the Inspector. The unit price for this bid item <br />shall be full payment for all costs incurred to perform the Work described in Section 5- <br />04.3(14), to complete the work in accordance with the Plans, COE Standard Drawings, <br />Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions. <br /> Schedule A Storm Sewer Pipe 12 In. Diam. <br /> <br /> Schedule A Storm Sewer Pipe 18 In. Diam. <br /> <br /> Schedule A Storm Sewer Pipe 24 In. Diam. <br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Linear Foot (LF) <br />The unit price per linear foot bid for the type and size of storm drain pipe shall be full <br />compensation for all labor, material, incidentals, tools and equipment necessary to complete <br />the work as defined in these Contract Documents. <br />The unit price per linear foot of storm drain pipe shall be full compensation for furnishing, <br />hauling, and assembling in place the completed installation, including all wyes, tees, caps, <br />plugs, special fittings, joint materials and adjustment of inverts and connections to inlets, <br />catch basins and manholes for the completion of the installation to the required lines and <br />grades.
